Police believe they may have prevented a robbery after three men were held with a loaded firearm and ammunition in the vicinity of Scotiabank in San Juan.
The arrests were made by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force led by ASP Singh, ASP Bain, and Sgt Martin.
On Wednesday morning, the officers received intelligence that led them to intercept a white Hyundai Elantra in the vicinity of the bank along the Eastern Main Road.
In the car were the three occupants.
The vehicle was searched and in the car, police found and seized a silver and black revolver which was loaded with five rounds of .38mm ammunition.
The three men were held as a result.
