Get Over Yourself (See More Here)

People with poor self-esteem have a difficult time feeling “good enough” and can be their own worst enemy. They constantly look to others to see if they measure up and the first time they don’t quite get it right, they immediately get down in the dumps thinking, “I’m always such a failure! I can’t ever get anything right!” They don’t take constructive criticism or suggestions well either, often moving to the defensive zone to ward off perceived attacks. But constantly putting yourself down and thinking negative thoughts about yourself is not how God wants you to be. Jesus loves you more than you could possibly know and just because your talents are different than what He gave someone else, does not make you unworthy, second rate, or a total idiot! You need to embrace the person who God made you to be, and when you mess up, don’t wallow in the “I blame me” game with thoughts of “I’m such a screw-up,” “I don’t know why anyone would want to be around me,” “I never get anything right,” and so on. Get over yourself! You are not so powerful that you can take credit for all the bad things that happen! Satan gets that blame!! Above all remember that God is your Creator and He “never” makes a mistake! So, instead of self-loathing, praise God for creating you just the way you are, as David did in Psalm 139:14: “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Text: Exodus 4:10-12, Jeremiah 1:6-8, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Peter 1:18-19
Bible Texts:Exodus 4:10-12 KJV - "And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.”
Jeremiah 1:6-8 KJV - "Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.”
1 Peter 2:9 KJV - "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
1 Peter 1:18-19 KJV - "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”
