Police are investigating a report in which gunmen were observed near the home of a prison officer.
Due to the sensitive nature of the report, the details of the officer's location will not be listed.
Police said that at about 12.05 am on Saturday the victim, a 50-year-old officer attached to the Port of Spain
Prison, observed two men outside his home in Sangre Grande. Upon checking CCTV cameras, he observed that both men were holding what appeared to be firearms.
The suspects were seen looking into the windows at the side of the home.
The victim immediately took cover and notified the police.
A team of officers from the Sangre Grande CID and the Eastern Division Task Force responded.
However, the suspects could not be located.
