Police Recover Stolen Vehicles In The Capital (See More Here)

Two stolen vehicles were recovered in the Port-of-Spain Division during anti-crime exercises on Wednesday.

According to a police report, at around 3:45am officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) were on mobile patrol when they observed a black Kia Cerato speeding along Park Street.

The officers attempted to chase the car but lost sight of the vehicle.

A short time later, police received information of an accident along Duncan Street.

On arrival, the officers saw that the exact vehicle crashed into another. However, the occupants already fled the scene.

Investigations later revealed that the car bore false number plates.

Meanwhile, around 1pm on the same day officers of the Stolen Vehicles Unit went to the Waterfront in Sea Lots.

They recovered a Hyundai Elantra vehicle, allegedly stolen at gunpoint at 11:30am earlier at Nelson Street, Port of Spain.

Investigations are continuing into both incidents
